Biakanaki Foteini

Fotini Biskanaki is a graduate of Esthetician-Cosmetologist of TEI of Athens, MSc of Medical School of Athens, National Kapodistrian University of Athens with subject “Environment and Health. Management of environmental issues with implications for Health.” The research subject of her Master’s Thesis was: Correlation of aesthetic non-invasive treatments and their effect on the environment and health. Since September 2020, he is a Doctor of the School of Medicine of the EKPA in the 1st Pathological Anatomy Laboratory with the topic of his Doctoral Thesis “Histological study of the damaging effect of solar radiation on the dermis of the skin” with supervising professor Mr. A.X. Lazarus. He worked as a laboratory associate at the TEI of Athens, in the Department of Aesthetics – Cosmetology of SEYP and later as an Academic Scholar in the Department of Biomedical Sciences (Department of Aesthetics – Cosmetology), from the first year of operation of the University of West Attica. He has original publications in Greek and international journals of recognized prestige (total number of publications: 29) and has participated with oral presentations in peer-reviewed conferences (total number: 10). She has undertaken the writing of Laboratory Exercises for the Electrical Dermatology I course. She is a Certified Alexandrite 755nm Laser Operator and her professional experience is based on modern machines in the field of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery. She participates as a professor in the Training Program in the Use and Application of Laser Hair Removal, KEDIVIM and LabLAD Research Laboratory of the University of West Attica. Some of her distinctions are her interviews in accordance with innovative non-invasive aesthetic treatments, her participation as a jury member in awards in the category of Health Professionals, and her award at an international conference (International Virtual Video). Her research interests are Aesthetic Electrotherapy – Dermatology, Facial Dermaesthetics, Face-Body Aesthetic Applications, Obesity and Treatment Methods, Treatment of Unwanted Hair Growth, Dermaesthetic and Plastic Surgery, Dermatology Removal Methods, Solar Radiation and Skin.
