Eleni Sfyri is a Lecturer at the Department of Biomedical Sciences/the University of Western Attica and a founding member of the Laboratory entitled “Laboratory of Dermatology – Aesthetics – Laser Applications” in the Sector of Aesthetics and Cosmetology. She is also a founding member of the Hellenic Scientific Society of Aesthetics. She has a BS of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Democritus University of Thrace with a specialization in Swimming. She has a Master’s Degree from the same University in the field of “Health and Recreation”. Her doctoral thesis was carried out at the Department of Biomedical Sciences of UNIWA (2022) and is entitled “Epidemiological study of dermatologicaldiseases in swimmers”. Her scientific interests focus on the effect of physical activity on aesthetic problems such as obesity, cellulite, dermatological diseases. She worked from 1998 to 2017 at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens/Center for Foreign Languages and Physical Education and Department of Aesthetics and Cosmetology with placement in the Institute’s Gymnasium/Physical Education Office. She had assignments in Aesthetic Physical Fitness I, II and III courses. From 2011 to 2017 she was in charge of the sports activities of TEI of Athens. She has worked at the Hellenic Army Academy, the Hellenic Police Officers School, the Deere College, in private school as well as in the rehabilitation of the disabled. For the 2018-19 school year, she has been appointed by the Ministry of Education and Religious affairs and the Hellenic Swimming Federation for the promotion of swimming among primary and secondary school students.
